Just looking at the front cover, it pulls you in. The dark background with a glowing blue eye contrasts well together to captivate you and make you question what the book is about. The title ‘the spiral’ brings countless thoughts into your heads who and why is spiralling. A short sentence that states their dreams are filled with violence, makes you wonder how they are doing, what caused this and will it get better. Without reading the sample I think more suspense builds up due to the eye catching cover.
