I've seen a lot of hype surrounding this book on social media so I was thrilled to see this first impression on Readers First. I'm a big fan of the genre and I thought the cover and synopsis were really appealing. However, the extract was rather disappointing and I couldn't get into it at all. The narrative felt quite boring and the characters uninteresting. This book may get better over time, but based on the extract, I think I'll give it a miss.
