I have seen this book a lot over the past few months and I really wanted to read this. Readers First gave me that opportunity but I have to say I was very disappointed. For a gripping thriller, I was really lost, confused and underwhelmed by the novel. I found myself rereading parts to try and help myself understand the fantasy aspect of the novel but I would just become more lost.
I was taken by surprise with the fantasy twist of this novel and I believe that if you are a fan of the fantasy genre you should really give this a go and maybe you will enjoy it and understand it much more than I did.
I give this novel two stars because it was my first DNF of the year (reach up to part 3) but I did enjoy the narrative of Erma, but it just became too confusing and seemed like there was too much happening within the novel to fully appreciate the story of Erma.
