I read the first read online and loved it, I was desperate to know what would happen to Emma. I needed answers!!
This book starts as a thriller, I was very invested in the story and I didn’t want to put it down. I did get a little confused by the story and I felt the fantasy part of it was not needed or just ruined the story a little, it would have been better left as a thriller. Emma’s story would have been enough to carry the book without the need for the shift.
The premise of the book was interesting and I liked Emma, her journey was quite fascinating. She was very likeable.
It just fell short for me, especially the ending. It was an anti climax and I really wanted to like it more than I did.
