I was really looking forward to reading this book from the first impression. The cover is done well and had me gripped as soon as I saw it. I found the genres however seemed to be all over and the plot slightly drawn out. I usually enjoy reading this kind of book but I found the characters uninteresting and I just couldn't connect with them in the way I normally would when reading a book. I found when I put it down it would take me several days to go back to it although I did preserve to finish the book. The plot seemed to be all over different genres and at times was slightly scary which I hadn't expected and just added to the confusion. I feel the author tried to make far too much happen in quite a short space of time and that just led to the confusion and lack of detail making it hard to connect to the book for example half of the book is written from the main characters view but the other is written as a dream
