Well this isn’t my normal go to genre. Most books I’ve read set in the 20s are very much roaring 20s style so this is a bit different. We meet Belinda who is a surplus girl - not enough husbands after the war, and who is working hard to take care of her family whilst dreaming of the life she could have had. I hope there’s a happy ending ahead for Bel.
