So this isn't normally the sort of book or genre that I normally read but I was pleased to win this book.
I can imagine that some women were like this after the war.
I liked the main character Belinda and it was goog to see how she changed throughout the book and how she gained confidence. I thought her family were awful and her fiance family were just as bad. I did like the 2 sisters who taught her all the skills she needed.
The end was pretty obvious to be honest and was obviously who she'd be with.
I did find the four years of mourning was over the top and the wearing of black especially since the character was only 20 years old.
