I love the war era and this book takes me right back to that wonderful time. I love how main character is a woman and how brave and strong minded she is. I loved reading about war time on goings and how women and society behaved. The book is wonderfully written and captures its audience really well as it tells the tale of how women were left surplus after the war without the men; how hard it was for women living in that era. A must read about an eventful saga about the female lives that were irrevocably changed by WWI. Very informative & involving as you want to cheer Belinda on along the way. She is a strong character along with many others and you cannot help but admire the women of the era
