I love reading about history but must admit do not know much about the British civil war as it was not really taught at school, so found the little summary and the maps for context very useful.
The detailed account of the priests execution was gory to the point of almost imaging being a bystander to the event. Also having one main character a female physician for that time period is extremely interesting, more so within the context of this historical event.
