Being a self-confessed history nerd, I was already interested in this book just from reading the blurb. Having now read the first chapters, I need to read more!
What I've read so far has drawn me into my country's past, but also allowed me to spot some disturbing parallels to our present; I can see how many things have (obviously) greatly improved, but some of the behaviours of certain characters can certainly be seen on display in the present day.
I need to know what's wrong with the little boy. I need to know more about Jayne. I need to know more about all of it!!
