The first thing that strikes me about this book is the stark yet gorgeous cover. The design seems to beautifully encapsulate the feel of the book and is a real eye-catcher. Next is the premise. The whole feel of the book makes me feel like it will be an emotional journey for the characters but full of inner turmoil as well as the war going on outside. I love the author's voice and it seems like a very solid story.
