Surprised me as I dont tend to gravitate to historic books

Personally I have never read a historic fiction book (I know dont blame me!) so I was surprised at being intrigued by this particular one. I do like the cover it is pleasing to the eye, but yes I'd like to give it a go and see if it is for me possibly? I've also never heard of the author but I do like her writing style from the first impression.
