I knew instantly that this was going to be a tear-jerker. Anything to do with the war is always heart-wrenching, without it being based around Auschwitz. So a story around the Holocaust, a love story no less, is a done deal.
Yet despite that, its uplifting and hopeful. It shows the light is humanity in a time where the world was almost completely dark. This is my kind of book, and I highly recommend reading it, especially because its based on a true story!
