I absolutely loved this book, leaning about the experience people unfortunately had to go through during there time in Auschwitz-Birkenau !
This book follows Lale Sokolov in Late 1942 and his job as the Tattooist, tattooing people identification numbers onto all new inmates arriving at the camp.
This book also follows Lale’s love story with Gita, who he meets in line for tattooing.
Lale and Gita, meet up when they can without being caught by the guards. Lale also saves his food to help Gita and the other girls in her dorm.
Will Lale and Gita’s love story be able to blossom outside of the camp when they are released or will this love story come to an abrupt end.
