This has got to be my all time favourite book. It's so descriptive you could almost be there with the characters and you find yourself really emotionally involved with them. You can never truly imagine the horrors these people went through but this gives you a really informative first hand idea.
I found myself sobbing throughout this book, but also there are moments when you laugh. It's shows the most courageous side of humans and also the most awful side to some.
I loved reading the end of the book as the author shows the interview she did and amazing to see the characters resilience throughout their lives.
I truly believe this book should be given to every person to read at least once, to make us all appreciate just how good we have it
