This book is written simply and is easy to read in one sitting. The story itself is touching and full of historic detail. The characters are well developed and you really feel for them as you read about their plight. Unfortunately, at times, it feels as though the narrative has been rushed. The book is very short but had the potential to be a much longer and more developed story. For me ,the most interesting and emotional part of the book was the post script in which we are told more about Lale and Gita (the most heart-wrenching section was the verbatim of the author's meeting with Lale before the book was written.) Overall, this book is well worth reading but could have been even better if the narrative were told in more depth and detail
