I absolutely loved this book. It's one of my favorite books. I really liked the style of writing, the descriptions and details of the events that happened. It painted a clear image in my head as I was reading it, I could imagine the blocks the barbered fenced. The people in their miseries and desperation. The fear and the anxiety. The characters in the story, Lale and Gita, I really admire their bravery, even in all that misery that happens around them, their still find hope in the future and in each other. Hope was never loss, Lale very cleverly used the privilege of being the tattooist making the most of it, He was very lucky to have a nice guard and to be very lucky that he was the tattooist. He used his privileges to help make is life in the camps less terrible, Overall, I really liked this book, I read this book from back to front so many times, I could almost picture it right away. Most of the other books I've read tend to be really boring after the first time. But I still found this book very interesting and I never lost my interest in it.
