I read the book within 24hours I literally couldn’t put it down,it’s gut wrenching true accounts of life at austwich and German concentration camp capatives the audience, as the love story unfolds between Lale and gita you go through heartache and joy with them.
I’ve never cried whilst reading a book but this book absolutely broke me I cried and cried.
On completing the book I found myself asking quiestions and wanting to know what happened to the other people it’s a truly captivating account completely realistic from start to finish.
I would recommended that everyone should read this and should become apart of the teaching curriculum so the younger generation realise what life was actually like in wartime.
