This book is absolutely fantastic. Lales story is a heartbreaking one for what he went through and experienced at the hands of the Nazis. It is a very heartfilled book and the way the author portrays his story is fantastic.
I enjoyed reading this book and although at times there was difficult parts of his story it grabs your attention. Definitely a book that I couldn't put down. The story of Lale and Gitas love is also a very powerful one. To find love in such a horrific part of history is difficult to believe but to know their story and know that their love lasted for so long is fantastic. I am honoured to have read this story of such a brave man and I will definitely be recommending this book to others.
