Oh my god! What a sad story!! The tattooist of Auschwitz absolutely broke my heart, Lale Sokolov, a young Jewish man almost dies in the prison camp Auschwitz, instead he has a varying array of jobs, everything from builder, to general dog's body, to second tattooist of Auschwitz under another prisoner. Here Lale meets the live of his life a beautiful but terrified Jewish girl, named Gita. And that is how their story begins, but very happily for all of us readers it does not end there in that awful place, like so many other lives at the time, this book, is happy, at Lale and Gitas love, devastatingly sad at the loss of other Innocent lives, many many innocent lives and justice for all the prisoners, a truly amazing book!
