I could not put this book down! While it explored sensitive topics, I found it really sucked me in and I read it all in one day.

It was recommended to me by a friend.. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical literature!

I read this while I studied Nazi Germany for my GCSEs. I already knew the basics of the holocaust but The Tattooist of Auschwitz really widened my understanding of what life was like in the concentration camps during WW2, especially since it is based off of a true story.

In my opinion the characters were all really well-written, and the writing of book itself was beautiful. I particularly liked Lale, and thought that his relationship with Gita was very well-developed, portraying what it meant to care for someone during the holocaust.

This is the first book of Heather’s that I have read... I can’t wait to read more of her works!
