Brilliant read, very insightful, shows another side of what happened in the concentration camps and what people had to do to survive the horrors that went on there, the author as brought to life the story being told to her in on every page, as soon as I picked the book up to read it was hard to put back down and I read this fairly quickly as really needed to find out what happened to Lale sokolov who the book is based on, would he survive, would he get to marry and grow old with Gita, so many questions that I needed answering, a brilliant story of loss,horror,heartache,pain,love and survival told from Lale Sokolov himself to Heather Morris who wrote it down beautifully in her book for all to read
