This book gave me so many emotions! It is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
You feel a connection with characters willing them to survive the horrors they were faced with.
The love and friendships amidst the sadness bought me to tears on many occasions. At some points you forget that this was the reality for so many people.
It is very rare that I can finish a book within a couple of days but I could not put this one down. I was desperate to find out the ending to Lale and Gita’s journey.
Whilst there are so many sad parts to this story, there are also so many uplifting parts too proving just what love and friendship can endure and overcome!
I would recommend this is added to everyone’s “to be read” list.
