The Tattoist of Auschwitz had me captured until the very end. I love a true story, and this book clearly defined the extreme conditions people had to live in during WW2.
I love how no matter what was thrown at Lale he always believed that he would one day leave. I love how after everything everyone went through in Auschwitz Lale and Rita manage to find one another. It is horrific to think that people were treated in such a diabolical manner. However, I enjoyed the relationships Lale made whilst at the camp and how, at most times, it did not matter where he was from, or the fact he was Jewish.
It is an easy to read book and can be quite emotional at times because of how real it is and how people were made to live.
