This is such a gripping novel based on the true story of Lale Sokolov right from the very start lales bravery and will to live has you gripped and not wanting to put the book down. The love he has with cilka and friend ship throughout is so heart warming. You feel a big connection to the main character and push for him to do well and make it threw, it was also a big eye opener at the horrors that happened in Auschwitz-Birkenau and has made me want to learn more about this story and others. The twists and turns have you on the edge of your seat willing for them to go on! While the sadness in parts of the book had me in tears right up to the end. Absolutely reccomened to give this book a read you will not be disappointed! Best book I have read in a long time and a real eye opener!
