The story of Lale was a really emotional one. I found myself reading it as if it was a fiction book and had to keep reminding myself that this really happened. The way it was written really opened up my eyes to what actually happened and has got me really excited to go and visit Auschwitz-Birkenau later this year.
The author wrote the story beautifully and really did Lale and Gita’s story life, I followed it so well.
It was also really hard to put it down, I finished the book in less than a day and a half it was that well written. I am also going to look into reading the other story when it comes out that is written about Cilka as I found her story to be a much sadder one from what was said about her in this book.
