I have wanted to read this book for a while so was a holiday purchase this week. I am currently reading this book & haven’t been able to put it down. I love anything that is based on true events but this is so well written & so emotional. I had an instant love for Lale who the story is based on & I’m continuing to read (as fast as I can!) to hear how the love story pans out between him & Gita. You find yourself there, back in 1945 Auschwitz going through the journey with them & praying for things to have a good ending. This book is very well written by the author & also has photos of the real people at the back (I skipped ahead for a peak)
