This book was gripping, I was caught up in the world and found it difficult to switch off once I'd put it down.
The characters are very layered, and it's written in a way I felt like I was really there.
Some of the experiences were a bit overwhelming and emotional, and yet throughout the horrific experiences is this tremendous love story that almost seems too incredible to be true. It's wonderfully inspiring that love can drive and power through anything, and the story is relatable in spite of the unfathomable situation.
I would definitely recommend this book as an inspirational, beautifully written, interesting, heartbreaking and rewarding read. And I even shed a couple of tears on the train at the end!
