The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris is absolutely one of the best books I've had the pleasure of reading this year. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't bear to put it down I had to sit and read this in one go, and I absolutely devoured it. It was incredibly interesting to see this true story unravelling throughout the book and the views we had of the different characters from different backgrounds, I thought it was really important to see the different characters from different backgrounds in a book with this subject matter so that it has some unique elements.

This book was incredibly hard hitting and some parts were difficult to read and could be triggering for some readers. I particularly like how this book set up the sequel, Cilka's Journey without straying from the main story but just gave us small snippets of Cilka's life alongside the plot.

I adored this book and rated it five out of five stars. I'd love to see Heather Morris writing more historical fiction in the future.
