I love that this book was based on a true story. I would definitely recommend to anyone who would love to read a Auschwitz book based on a true story. this book pulled at the heart strings and also really opened your eyes to the horrible things that would happen in the camp. I was loving the character development betweem Lale & Gita. I kind of feel for Lale but he really seems to have worked the system in the camp and try and makes the most of a horrific time. I am so glad they found each other and the way they feel for each other was perfect. I loved that he helped her so much in the books and tried to keep her positive. the end of the book is the perfect ending and I think it will stay with me for quite a while.
