Great

I have only just read the 'first look' of this book but it still brought me tears. I can sense that at the beginning the character that gets tattooed will surely return later in the novel as she must play an important part. Lale, the main character has just been placed in a concentration camp and he is ordered to work. The author of this book really describes everything that happens, which is harrowing but good. I can really picture the whole setting and even though the topic is very deep and depressing I am growing to like Lale and his sense of humor. At first look, I assumed the tattooist would be female but it is actually a 25 year old man who volunteered in his family to go to the concentartion camp.

I can't wait to buy this from my local book store.
