This was my top book for 2018. I devoured this book in 48 hours and I couldn't stop reading Lales story when I needed to know the outcome with himself and Gita.
This book had me shed a tear on more than one occasion. Firstly Lales optimistic attitude during such a dark and awful time really inspires you. Also his love for Gita is so beautifully written. The fact that this is based on true events make this book even more heart breaking, and some of the events that take place within this book really do open your eyes to the horrors that these people had to live through. I don't think a review does this book justice I really do recommend it to anyone as I'm sure that everyone can take something from it.
