“I tattooed a number on her arm. She tattooed her name on my heart.”

This is a novel of two people who fell in love during the worst times of their lives and did everything in their power to defy all odds. The story has me not wanting to put the book down. Each chapter kept me guessing and wanting to find out how the story would end. Each time there was a twist the writer knew exactly when to bring the point home. The story-telling was very visual after having the opportunity to visit what remains of the camps.

The authors writing style was a bit child-like in my opinion with lines like “Lale likes the sound of that.”or “Lale knows when to shut up.”I would say that it makes it easier to readers of all ages to enjoy. This book definitely has my recommendation however.
