I'm always in awe about WOII stories. Brave man and women telling about the horrors they have been throw. The story of Lale does not only tell about surving but also about learning, growing and respecting all forms of life. The writer does a great job in ordering the story, and focussing on importend aspects in the tale. To bring a bit of humor in such an awfull periode of time shows what a strong person Lale was. I think it is very important to hear the stories of the survivors so we can learn from the past. I think the writer has a good way of brining the people in the story to live. Putting a face to the numbers the tatowier was forced to give them. And putting the timeline in the tale Highly recommend the book!
