I read the first few pages online and it's just the kind of book I've been wanting to read recently so I had to go straight out to buy it. From the moment I came home with the book I couldn't wait to read it and then I read the whole book that night. It's heart wrenching and so deep! I cried but loved every part of it. The way the author has written about lale make you feel like you are right there with him every step of the way, you feel like you can identify his surroundings and how he felt at every moment. This truly is a brilliant book. I love the added extra that the author put in there with the photos of lale after the war, the maps and other parts of research she did to find his old document. I can't wait for other book Heather will be publishing because hopefully they will be equally brilliant.
