There were mixed opinions about this book so I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it or not, but I was not disappointed! I loved this book I couldn't put it down, right from the start when Lale was on the train to when they got out and shakily tried to make lives for themselves. There were a good handful of moments in this book where I thought Lale wasn't going to make it but, against all odds they both survive. I love Heather Morris' writing style and couldn't help but be drawn into the story. There were times when you forgot they were in a concentration camp they were so in love but soon you were brought back into the reality of the camp. Its made very realistic since heather interviewed Lale (Ludwig) to write this story which means sadly everything in this book happened in some way or another. It really opens your eyes to how much people suffered during the time of Nazi persecution.
