I read this book back in January and I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did, it became my favourite read of the year
The story broke my heart and I’m so excited to read the sequel which comes out next month
The writing style was easy to read without feeling too simplistic and the characters felt so real. I felt every emotion that they felt
I’m not a huge fan of historical fiction as I struggle to get into them but this was perfect for me
If I’m being honest I was expecting to be annoyed by the romance as I worried it was going to take away from the setting but it only added to it and made this book even more amazing
I recommend this book, even if you don’t usually read historical fiction
