I read this book very quickly as it was a very gripping read. With the subject matter it could never be called enjoyable but certainly it was addictive. The fact it was a true story made this book so incredible, the bravery of the 2 main characters is simply beyond words. It is a book that spans generations from teenagers to adults this book has depth and relevance. Read this book, lest we forget.

Obviously there has been many books written about concentration camps and this one is a true story from someone who lived it so it is very hard to criticise. The only thing I would say that is slightly disappointing is that the end feels rushed and needed a little more time spent. Without giving too much away it would have been better to know more about what happened after the camp.
