Wow...what a book. The whole story really impressed me, usually when I read a book I've heard a lot about like this one, I'm disappointed in it. World War Two historical fiction is generally a sub-genre of historical fiction that I tend to enjoy reading about, despite it being done time and time again.

I'm not too keen on the way it was written, the "he did this" and "he did that" did get a bit boring, though I could get past it due to how much I enjoyed it. The writing style and description was still pleasant and fun to read, hence the fact that I finished reading it very quickly. However, the characters could get the smallest bit bland at times. That's why I couldn't justify giving it any more than four stars.
