This book was ridiculously incredible! The story was as heartbreaking as you would think due to the subject matter but it was such a wonderful story. I loved Lale and the way that, even in the face of extremely hard and adversity, he was so positive. It's such an emotional, emotive story and I have no words!
The writing was perfect for the story. It was raw and emotive and not fluffy in any way which, was welcome. It focused solely on the characters and their situations and it made for a wonderful read. I was a bit concerned going into this thinking that it may just be another book trying to make something off of the Holocaust, which is sickening but this told the story in such a unique way and I'm so glad I picked this up, even if it was sometimes hard to get through.
