This was by far one of my favorite reads this year. It's based on the real life story of an Auschwitz prisoner, who was forced to tattoo the numbers on each and every one who was a in the concentration camps. There he meets and falls in love with the woman, who would later on be his wife. An outstanding book, written by the masterful pen of Heather Morris, this book, albeit a slow burn, it will stay with you long after you've read it. The couple's experience is something haunting and it will definitely not keep you unmoved, also by the fact that story wasn't told until ten years ago. The meanings that come through this book is that even in the darkest of times there is hope. Beautiful read, if you're into your real life novels.
