I want to say I loved this book, however I feel the word “loved” is not the right word due to the topic of the story. I literally couldn’t put the book down, I was completely hooked. The story is shocking and eye opening but also a wonderful love story at the same time.
I felt near the end that some bits were rushed but it didn’t take away from the overall intrigue. This book will take you through every possible emotion and I felt I was there next to him the whole way through, just rooting for him to get through and survive. I haven’t felt this passionate about a book for such a long time and the fact it’s a true story makes it even more worth while to read and just get a glimpse of the real ness of this awful place and what was going on. It ends with some wonderful pictures.
