The tattooist of Auschwitz was a must read on my tbr for so long, being based on a true story and focuses on one of my favourite historical moments in time to read about, WWII. Being one of many books which I have read with the same topic, I can say for sure this is a must read!
This book focuses on a Slovakian Jew and his time in a concentration camp where his role was to tattoo prisoners who were with him at the camp, highlighting the traumatic things which he has to witness on a day to day basis. The love story between Lale and Gita was so compelling and made me not want to put the book down!
I have already recommended countless of book lovers to read this novel and cannot recommend it enough!
