such an amazing book and story but very unsettling too. written so well and it was so easy to read, had a nice flow, big text and not an overload of long fancy words. Lales story is so common yet so unique and hearing about the harrowing times he endured during his time at the camp was heartbreaking. I'm glad I read this one and now know the existence of this story. some violent scenes however they are not detailed too much so still suitable for a younger audience. would be good to read if/when studying the holocaust or nazi germany. i think people would gain a lot from reading this beautiful novel. this tale will stay with me for a while i think, it really hit me deep.
