Everyone, of all ages, should read this book and feel some sort of pain for Lale and Gita. Their powerful romance reminds the readers that true love does exist and will flourish even in the darkest times. Lake and Gita were such strong people to live through the horrible experience during that time and even after, just trying to live a normal life after everything they have seen. It's an experience that no one should go through. Although it may be ultimately hard to understand the capture and torture of people, it doesn't stop me feeling sorry.
