i’m definitely most 100% in the minority here and i’m okay with that. i love fiction books - especially world war two historical books.but i actually heard that this wasn’t based on facts - so maybe that affected the way i felt. now don’t get me wrong - there wasn’t anything wrong with the book. it was a pleasant read but just not pleasant enough for me to enjoy. the characters felt sort of generic in a way? their emotions didn’t feel as real as i would have thought them to. and i’m not one hundred percent sure about this, but i don’t think this was based on real events - i have read that somehwere so don’t quote me on this. i’ll give this another go in the future because i was in a reading slump, so we’ll see how i feel then.
