Heather has told Lale’s story in the most sensitive but informative way, it made me feel as though I was walking in Lale’s shoes. Throughout all the highs and lows of the 3 years he spent not only at Auschwitz but in the following months leading up to him being reunited with Gita.
This book not only gives us an insight into those dark and miserable days and years, but showed us that in some cases there was a very bright light at the end of all darkness that took over during WW2.
