I literally read this book in a day, I just could not put it down! The emotion told in this story is incredible! You actually start to feel the pain, torture, love and endurance people went through during the horrific events in the 1940’s! One of the best books I have ever read! The story told in this book is so sincere and moving, and the story of Lale and Gita is unimaginable, to then start to feel the love they shared for each other is incredible and absolutely remarkable.
A book that gets me captured within the first few pages is amazing, I’m quite a fussy reader but this was so moving! I would recommend this book unreservedly. I’ve already got so many people asking to borrow the book now, I don’t want to part with it incase of a second read!
