The whole book is gripping and you can’t help but sympathise and become attached to the characters. The book is moving and extremely touching, the character Lale is an extremely heroic and selfless man, who you are constantly rooting for throughout the read. I could happily read this book in one sitting, it has an amazing story line and stays true to the reality of the devastations that occurred during the Holocaust. The end of the book also provides images of Lale and Gita which is extremely heartwarming and beautiful to see. Despite the conditions Lale and Gita met in, there love story is one of the best.
I would defiantly recommend this book to anybody, and after reading it I am hooked to the writings of Heather Morris.
