I was skeptical when first delving in to this book, because it is such a moving and harrowing subject. But it was done brilliantly and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Heather Morris's narrative was told beautifully, communicating the pain and terror of the people in Auschwitz yet in a way that commemorates their sacrifice. Don't get me wrong there was moments when I was close to tears! Its a book that forces you to reflect on the horrors of the camps for all people and the struggle to carry on with their lives after the Second World War. The tale was truly endearing and the book had a powerful message that should be read by everyone, I cannot recommend this book enough! This is a book that will hopefully stay with me forever...
